Today is the Great American Smokeout, an ACS event that encourages smokers to quit or make a plan to quit.

That’s why we chose to use today’s Throwback Thursday post to highlight the prevalence of smoking in the 1960s versus today. While work remains to create a smoke-free America, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data show we’re heading in the right direction.
