NPC Statement on Racial, Social Injustices and Health Disparities

The recent deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor have put a spotlight on the racial and social injustices that are unfortunately pervasive in the United States. The COVID-19 pandemic also has put a spotlight on health disparities. It should not have taken these events to address the challenges that have been facing our nation for decades, if not hundreds, of years.

The National Pharmaceutical Council's policy research is intended to improve our health care system, through better health care delivery and research methods, and above all, promoting the idea that every patient should have access to care. This has long been a priority.
 
We recognize that there is much more to be done, and we are committed to a culture of inclusion, combating inequality and racism, and working toward meaningful and lasting change.
