On Tuesday, April 5 at 1:00 p.m. - 2:15 p.m., NPC hosted a session featuring a diverse panel of stakeholders to explore the potential risks and unintended consequences of drug prices regulation.

There has been a growing push to regulate biopharmaceutical prices, as evidenced by multiple recent legislative efforts, including International Reference Pricing and Build Back Better. Proponents suggest that drugs are overpriced and that the trade-off between price regulation and innovation is a false choice. Opponents of these efforts suggest that regulating biopharmaceutical prices will have lasting effects on innovation, ultimately harming patients.
