Join us on Wednesday, October 21, from 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. ET at the AMCP Nexus 2020 Virtual conference for a panel discussion on Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs).

PROs are an effective method for pharmacists to engage in patient-centered care and ultimately improve patient outcomes and quality of life. Unfortunately, the implementation of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) and innovative platforms for data collection and analysis can require a substantial investment in resources.

Building on previous research conducted by the National Pharmaceutical Council (NPC) and Discern Health around PROs in oncology, this session will debate the conflicting priorities of funding and innovation to assess the future path of PROs in clinical care.

This session will also cover:

  • How PROs are used in pharmacy practice and value-based contracts.
  • How payers can operationalize the data collected from PROs.
  • Actionable solutions for funding and driving PRO implementation.

Panelists will provide insight around the role of PROs in value-based care and contracting, challenges to PRO implementation, and how health plans can help drive solutions to create a path for PROs that benefits providers, payers, and patients.

Panelists:

  • Ann Fish-Steagall, RN,OCN, Senior Vice President, Specialty Pharmacy, Two Labs Pharma

  • Chester B. Good, MD, MPH, Sr. Medical Director, UPMC

  • Theresa L. Schmidt, MA, PMP, CSPO, Vice President, Discern Health
