- NPC Chief Science Officer Robert W. Dubois, MD, PhD, will co-chair the Fifth National Comparative Effectiveness Summit on September 16-18 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA. Dr. Dubois will present Real-World Evidence and Decision-Making: Is it Time Yet? on Tuesday, September 17, at 1:30 pm.
- NPC Director of CER Jennifer Graff, PharmD, will moderate How Life Sciences Companies are Using Comparative Effectiveness Research on Wednesday, September 18, at 11:00 am at the Summit. Panelists include:
- Jane Horvath, MHSA (invited), executive director of health policy and reimbursement, Merck & Co.; former deputy assistant secretary for legislation, US Department of Health and Human Services
- David S. Memel, MD, MS, MBA, vice president, health economics and outcomes research, Boehringer Ingelheim
- Dr. Graff will identify steps to increase the appropriate use and acceptance of real-world evidence at Big Data in Pharma on Thursday, September 19, at 2:30 pm, with her presentation, Examine How Payers and Clinical Guideline Organizations are Considering Observational Data in Decision Making. The conference will be held at Revere Boston Common.
- Dr. Dubois will be a participant in A Dialogue on the Future of Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality on Friday, September 20, 9:30 am. This panel is listed on the agenda at the Twelfth Quality Colloquium, which will take place at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA.
- Later that day at 10:45 am, Dr. Dubois will moderate The Role Of Medications In Achieving Quality And Bundled Payment Environment at the Colloquium. Panelists include:
