NPC Director of Policy Research Dr. Daryl Pritchard will speak on employer challenges in addressing specialty pharmacy-related impacts at the Integrated Benefits Institute and National Business Coalition on Health 2013 Health and Productivity Forum in Dallas, Texas on Feb. 25-27, 2013.
During Dr. Pritchard’s panel discussion, “Employer Challenges in Addressing Specialty Pharmacy Productivity-Related Impacts,” speakers will highlight the results of a meeting of key industry stakeholders--employers, health plans, PBMs, specialty pharmacies, case managers and pharmaceutical manufacturers--that addressed the challenges of specialty biologics coverage and benefit design. That meeting, facilitated by the Midwest Business Group on Health (MBGH) in partnership with NPC, helped to outline key tactical approaches and design elements that would allow for better cost management, better product utilization management, improved patient outcomes, and increased productivity.
Cheryl Larson, vice president of MBGH, and Sandra Morris, senior manager of U.S. benefits design for The Procter & Gamble Company, also will participate on the panel. The panel will take place on Feb. 26 from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
