Questions to Ask, Taking Charge of Your Health

NPC partnered with the National Consumers League in 1992 to create a brochure, “Questions to Ask, Taking Charge of Your Health." Through a series of checklists, the brochure explains how patients can be more proactive in their care. The checklists include:
- What you need to ask yourself before going to the doctor;
- Questions to ask the doctor when a medicine is prescribed;
- What to ask the pharmacist when a prescription is being filled; and
- How to check with your employer or insurer about your health benefits.
