With hundreds of millions of dollars being invested in comparative effectiveness research (CER), most health care stakeholders acknowledge that there needs to be a focus on putting findings into practice. One avenue for reaching health care professionals is academic detailing –- having a health educator visit providers to share CER data. Stakeholders have varying views on this approach.
